Ah, I can actually make this post this month! No offence, but July kind of sucked for me because NOTHING NEW came out for me that I wanted or needed to read. Can you imagine how I felt? Ugh, it hurt. But thankfully we’re about to start a new month and I actually have some new reads coming out in August! *throws confetti* Now, my TBR list for new releases isn’t exactly stellar but when you compare it to the nonexistent list from July it’s pretty great. But as I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, summer is probably the worst time to be a reader because barely anything comes out in July and August; I’m living proof of that. So while this list is relatively short it’s still something to be excited about!

She will become one of the world’s greatest heroes: WONDER WOMAN. But first she is Diana, Princess of the Amazons. And her fight is just beginning. . . .

Diana longs to prove herself to her legendary warrior sisters. But when the opportunity finally comes, she throws away her chance at glory and breaks Amazon law—risking exile—to save a mere mortal. Even worse, Alia Keralis is no ordinary girl and with this single brave act, Diana may have doomed the world.

Alia just wanted to escape her overprotective brother with a semester at sea. She doesn’t know she is being hunted. When a bomb detonates aboard her ship, Alia is rescued by a mysterious girl of extraordinary strength and forced to confront a horrible truth: Alia is a Warbringer—a direct descendant of the infamous Helen of Troy, fated to bring about an age of bloodshed and misery.

Together, Diana and Alia will face an army of enemies—mortal and divine—determined to either destroy or possess the Warbringer. If they have any hope of saving both their worlds, they will have to stand side by side against the tide of war.

I will not lie to you: when this project was first announced I didn’t really care that much. Sure, I was excited that Leigh Bardugo was writing something new but did I really want to read about a superhero I don’t really know? Well…..it turns out the answer is yes. I love Bardugo’s writing so much she has become one of my ultimate favourite authors so a part of me always knew I was going to read this. And then I saw the glorious Wonder Woman movie and I was instantly sold. I’ve already seen a bunch of people on Twitter getting ARCs of this (my friend was one of them!) and they all really liked it so that just made me even more excited. I honestly cannot wait to see what Bardugo will do with this character and this story.

Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??
Sexy. As. Hell.
And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.
For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, gorgeous royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.
To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.
The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.
But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.
Any woman would be proud to call him hers.
But there’s only one woman he wants.
For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.
He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.
But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.
Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

I. AM. SO. EXCITED. FOR. THIS. BOOK. I swear I’ve been waiting an entire lifetime for this book. Yeah, I know that’s an exaggeration but that’s what it’s been like waiting for this one!! I actually got into this series because one of my very good friends rec’d this to me because she knows I have a thing for princes and I fell in love instantly. But after books 1 and 2 no one really knew what book 3 would entail. Emma Chase had written such a cryptic synopsis for the next book that had everyone speculating about who it could be and my friend and I IMMEDIATELY knew it had to be about Logan and Ellie. And when the news finally broke that it was, in fact, about those two we lost our minds. I haven’t even read this book and I already knew it’s going to be my favourite. I just know. It’ll have everything I want and it will do justice to the “falling for the bodyguard” trope (I’m not going through another Damaged Like Us again, ok??). I’m still pissed that Chase pushed the release date for this back from it’s original June release but it’ll be worth the wait, I know it.

Senior Easton Royal struggles with personal demons and the reappearance of someone he’s been trying to forget for the past three years.

I mean…..we know literally nothing about this book. I even forgot that Easton was getting his own book because it’s been so long since I heard something about it. But I do know that I love this series and I love Erin Watt so obviously I’m gonna read it and I’m sure it’ll be fantastic. I’m also really excited to know more about Easton because at times he seems like such an enigma but at other times he’s an open book so who really knows the true Easton but, well, Easton? Fingers crossed we get more information about this soon!!
