“If all I wanted was a quick lay, you and I both know I could get that without any effort. I want something more than that from you.”

What he wants he gets…

Knox Masters is a quarterback’s worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And…virgin. Knox knows what he wants–and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he’s set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she’s the sister of his fellow teammate, but that’s not going to stop him. Especially not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.

…but he’s never met her before.

But Ellie isn’t as sure. She’s trying to start a new life and she’s not interested in a relationship…with anyone. Beside it’s not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother’s teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.

Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! Last week, if you saw my post, I talked about my top fancasts for male characters, or FCs if you will, and I thought that it would only be fair to pick my top female FCs as well. All about the equality here. Anyways, if you’re not sure what a fancast is, it’s essentially a person that you imagine or picture as a character of a book you’ve read and it doesn’t matter if it’s an actor or a model; it can be anyone you’d like. And that’s what I love about doing these FCs because you can have so many options and it’s great seeing how everyone can see one character so differently.

Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Female Character Fancasts!

Hello friends and happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but I am EXHAUSTED. Just everything about me right now is exhausted so needless to say I’m quite happy that this week is finally over and I can’t wait to sleep. I might be tired but I still have a bit of energy for a lovefest. I’m gonna keep my intro short today but I’ve had this character on my mind a lot lately and I couldn’t resist choosing them for today. This character is great in so many ways I could write an entire novel on their personality alone. They’re kind, sweet, caring, and honestly one of the best people I’ve ever had the chance of “meeting.” This character put my faith back into YA lit, that’s for sure.

This week’s character is…..

“I don’t know how I know this, but I’m certain that I’ll never want anyone the way I want you. No other girl can even come close, Jaz. Not one.

Since the beginning of time, tales have been told about Eden. But all the stories are wrong.
Running parallel alongside Earth, but never touching, there exists not just a garden, but an entire world of vivid colours and breathtaking beauty where the Seraph reside.
Jazmine has lived in ten different foster homes, in ten different towns and all her life she has felt like she doesn’t belong – not in the trailer park which happens to be foster home number ten, not anywhere on Earth.
After a universe shattering revelation, she discovers why. Far from being the nothing and no one, with no past and no future, that Jazmine had always believed herself to be, she discovers that she is in fact an heir to one of the seven remaining Seraph Dynasties.
She is Jazmine Evenstar, the last heir to the sovereign Evenstar Dynasty.
Thrust into the world of wealth and privilege in which the impossibly beautiful and equally cruel Dynasty heirs reside, Jazmine is forced to manoeuvre the tangled web that holds the Dynasties together.
Against the backdrop of breathtaking star filled nights, sweeping coastlines, grand marble halls and decadent palaces, Jazmine tries to find her place in this beautiful new world whilst fighting not to lose herself in the process.
But the fairy tale quickly unravels.
Half human and the illegitimate daughter of the late suicide King of Eden, the other Dynasty heirs make it clear that Jazmine does not belong in their world.
Raphael St. Tristan, heir to the rival sovereign St. Tristan Dynasty and next in line to the throne of Eden, the guy with the face of an angel but who is as wicked as the devil himself, promises to break her.
Jazmine quickly learns that the beauty of Eden is nothing but a deception as she uncovers the secrets festering at the heart of it. But can she disentangle herself from the web of deception and intrigue that the Dynasty heirs have spun? Can she stop herself from falling into Raphael St. Tristan’s trap before he can fulfil his promise to shatter her completely? Or are those stories about Eden true after all and will she be foolish enough to taste the forbidden fruit that is Eden itself?

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s had a good day so far. I’m actually really excited for our Top Five today because it’s one I’ve been wanting and meaning to do for a really long time. If you’re like me and you’re on all kinds of social media like Tumblr and Pinterest then you might be familiar with the phrase “fancasts” or it’s alternative, “faceclaims.” Basically what this means is a person that you imagine or picture as a character of a book you’ve read. Sometimes it’s a model, sometimes it’s an actor, but there are no set rules for a fancast, or FC for short. I have tons of them and have accumulated many on Pinterest in the various boards I have. So I thought that I’d share my absolute favourites for male characters with you all today! Remember, these are my own personal FCs and just because I like using them doesn’t mean you have to as well.

Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Male Character Fancasts!

“The brighter the light, the deeper the shadow.”

In a land where three suns almost never set, a fledgling killer joins a school of assassins, seeking vengeance against the powers who destroyed her family.

Daughter of an executed traitor, Mia Corvere is barely able to escape her father’s failed rebellion with her life. Alone and friendless, she hides in a city built from the bones of a dead god, hunted by the Senate and her father’s former comrades. But her gift for speaking with the shadows leads her to the door of a retired killer, and a future she never imagined.

Now, Mia is apprenticed to the deadliest flock of assassins in the entire Republic—the Red Church. If she bests her fellow students in contests of steel, poison and the subtle arts, she’ll be inducted among the Blades of the Lady of Blessed Murder, and one step closer to the vengeance she desires. But a killer is loose within the Church’s halls, the bloody secrets of Mia’s past return to haunt her, and a plot to bring down the entire congregation is unfolding in the shadows she so loves.

Will she even survive to initiation, let alone have her revenge?

Hello friends and happy Friday! Was it just me or did everyone else feel like this week dragged on and on forever with no end in sight? It felt so long so needless to say I’m quite happy it’s over and I can enjoy the weekend. Anyways, I’m really excited about today’s COTW. The character I’ve chosen isn’t brand new to the entire literature world but they’re recently brand new to me, meaning I just read the book or series they appear in. I think this is also the first time I’m choosing a secondary character rather than the main protagonist or even a love interest. That should be a massive hint, by the way. But this character is hilarious and a bit obnoxious with an even smaller attention span than I have but they’re fiercely loyal as well as strong and powerful. If this character was in my life I wouldn’t complain at all.

This week’s character is…..

Hello friends and happy Wednesday! Woo hoo, it’s the first Month In Review of the new year! How have we already gone through an entire month when it feels like January just started? I seriously no longer understand the concept of time. Last year I felt like I was a little slow out of the gate with getting my reading on track but this year it’s like I shot out of a rocket. I have a big goal to reach at the end of the year and I’m not letting myself get behind whatsoever. Gotta keep moving, gotta keep reading. Speaking of reading, let’s get to the point of this post: the books!

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m beyond tired of all this snow and cold weather. Curse you, Canadian winter! Anyways, I think I’ve got a good Top Five for today. If you haven’t yet figured out from my previous Top Fives where I discussed the best (and worst) book covers, I’m the type of person who judges books. Yeah, yeah, I know the wonderful cliche phrase we should all live by but I can’t help it. I love judging. But I feel like judging book titles is very different from book covers. Right? Like, there are certain covers that look bad and make you not want to read it but with a title…..oh wait, nevermind they’re the same thing. I mean there are some titles that are down right embarrassing even if the book itself is amazing. And there’s more than good and bad titles, in my opinion; there are also those titles that are super extra for the sake of being creative, I suppose. Right or wrong, there are some great books with beautiful titles and I figured it’d be a great Top Five post!

Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Book Titles
