“Aliens—if they exist—are little green men with big eyes and spindly arms or…or giant insects or something like a lumpy
little creature.” Daemon let out a loud laugh. “ET?”
“Yes! Like ET, asshole. I’m so glad you find this funny.”

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Hello friends, it’s time for another Top Five Tuesday!! For today’s list, I’ve decided on something that’s rather simple and self-explanatory. We all have our favourite literary quotes that mean a lot to us. Hell, there are even quotes from TV and movies that end up meaning something to us. But whether it’s an inspirational quote or one that just makes you laugh or cry or any kind of emotion, quotes are very important to me. It’s gonna be hard to narrow down my five favourites, but I’m gonna try my best.

Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Quotes!

Hello friends, and happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week. It’s time for another COTW and as usual, there are so many great characters to choose from that I can never seem to decide who to do. But as I was thinking, there was one character that entered my mind and didn’t seem to want to leave so I took it as a sign. This character is, well let’s say they’re unique. They come off as one way but are actually another way, which isn’t THAT unique but there are other things that make this character unique. I’m not really the biggest fan of the work they appear in, but I’m a huge fan of the character. Any guesses yet?? Hmmm.

Without further ado, this week’s character is…..

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well and getting some good reads in. As it’s becoming our usual routine, it’s Tuesday which means it’s time for another Top Five listing! I’m kind of excited about today’s list because everyone has their favourite books but figuring out who your favourite authors are is like Christmas morning and an epiphany all at the same time. When you have those authors that you know you can trust, that you know will never let you down, and know that you’ll always get good quality content out of, it’s just the best feeling in the book world. Now, I’ve had some experiences where I thought an author was my favourite and that they wouldn’t let me down but then they did and let me tell you, it’s the worst. When this happens you start questioning almost everything. But I’ll save that for another list and another time. Right now, we’re gonna focus on the positives so let’s get down to it.

Hello friends! It’s another Tuesday which means it’s time for another Top Five. I’ve noticed that a lot of other people have their own Top Tuesdays and I definitely respect that and the person who’s meme they’re all going off of. I just hope that with my own Top Five that I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes because I just really enjoy talking about some of my favourite things with you guys. So I just wanted to get that out of the way and now that I have we can get onto today’s topic! While I love series so much, nothing is better than a good standalone book. For me, while most of the NA and contemporary books I read CAN in fact be read as standalones, the only books that I truly view as standalones are ones that cannot or have not been continued in any way. I think what I love about standalones is that you know that everything will (or it should) be resolved by the end of the book and you can just enjoy all of it for what it is. Last year I spent a lot of time trying to read more standalones and I think I’ve got a pretty good list for today.

Without further ado, here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Standalones!

Ah, I can actually make this post this month! No offence, but July kind of sucked for me because NOTHING NEW came out for me that I wanted or needed to read. Can you imagine how I felt? Ugh, it hurt. But thankfully we’re about to start a new month and I actually have some new reads coming out in August! *throws confetti* Now, my TBR list for new releases isn’t exactly stellar but when you compare it to the nonexistent list from July it’s pretty great. But as I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, summer is probably the worst time to be a reader because barely anything comes out in July and August; I’m living proof of that. So while this list is relatively short it’s still something to be excited about!

Hey guys! I hope everyone’s had a good week! I wish I could say the same but sadly I caught a cold this week and it hasn’t been fun. But that’s not gonna stop me from our weekly love fest! Now, the character I have chosen for this week is, again, very special to me. The book they appear in is one of my ultimate favourite books that is so near and dear to my heart and completely underrated. This character is probably one of my favourite YA protagonists. They are so badass and smart but at the same time they hurt and break. I’ve already talked about their counterpart in one of my previous COTW’s so if you’ve been paying attention that should be a good hint.

Without further ado, this week’s character is…..

Another week has flown by which means that’s time for yet another COTW!! Last night I was going through my books on Goodreads trying to figure out which character I should feature this week and then it hit me. It was like an epiphany. I’m not sure why I haven’t done this character before. This character is one of the best characters you could ever ask for. They are multi-layered, beautiful, badass, and just all around amazing. The series they appear in is also a masterpiece so it’s only right that this character reflects the book in the same way.

This week’s character is…..
