Today’s Moodboard Monday is dedicated to When It’s Real by Erin Watt, which is one of the cutest fake dating books I’ve ever read. It’s also a perfect book to read if you’re in a Valentine’s mood; the romance here is pretty top notch. So if you couldn’t guess, I highly recommend this book.
Hello friends and happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but I am EXHAUSTED. Just everything about me right now is exhausted so needless to say I’m quite happy that this week is finally over and I can’t wait to sleep. I might be tired but I still have a bit of energy for a lovefest. I’m gonna keep my intro short today but I’ve had this character on my mind a lot lately and I couldn’t resist choosing them for today. This character is great in so many ways I could write an entire novel on their personality alone. They’re kind, sweet, caring, and honestly one of the best people I’ve ever had the chance of “meeting.” This character put my faith back into YA lit, that’s for sure.
Hello friends and happy Wednesday! Woo hoo, it’s the first Month In Review of the new year! How have we already gone through an entire month when it feels like January just started? I seriously no longer understand the concept of time. Last year I felt like I was a little slow out of the gate with getting my reading on track but this year it’s like I shot out of a rocket. I have a big goal to reach at the end of the year and I’m not letting myself get behind whatsoever. Gotta keep moving, gotta keep reading. Speaking of reading, let’s get to the point of this post: the books!
Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m beyond tired of all this snow and cold weather. Curse you, Canadian winter! Anyways, I think I’ve got a good Top Five for today. If you haven’t yet figured out from my previous Top Fives where I discussed the best (and worst) book covers, I’m the type of person who judges books. Yeah, yeah, I know the wonderful cliche phrase we should all live by but I can’t help it. I love judging. But I feel like judging book titles is very different from book covers. Right? Like, there are certain covers that look bad and make you not want to read it but with a title…..oh wait, nevermind they’re the same thing. I mean there are some titles that are down right embarrassing even if the book itself is amazing. And there’s more than good and bad titles, in my opinion; there are also those titles that are super extra for the sake of being creative, I suppose. Right or wrong, there are some great books with beautiful titles and I figured it’d be a great Top Five post!
Hello friends and happy Friday! Is it just me or has this been like a super long week that never seemed to end? I’m exhausted. As you know, this week here on my blog has been another theme week to celebrate the release of Maze Runner: The Death Cure which released in theatres today! I can’t wait to see it this weekend! Finishing off Maze Runner Week, it’s time for another COTW. Oh, I wonder which book I’ll be finding my character in this week? Ok so the book might be a bit obvious but the actual character is still a slight mystery. And if I hadn’t already chosen Teresa for a previous COTW I definitely would’ve picked her today. Actually, the character I’ve chosen for today is one that I’ve been dying to do and I’ve literally been saving them for this very week. I’d always be like “oh, I wanna do this character! No wait, I’ll save them for Maze Runner Week.” True story. This character would probably be my favourite character if Teresa didn’t exist. They’re amazing and truly wonderful.
Hello friends and happy Tuesday! As I mentioned yesterday, this week is another one of my little theme weeks and almost everything I post will be in relation to the theme. This theme week is Maze Runner Week which, as you can guess, is dedicated to the Maze Runner series by James Dashner to celebrate the release of the final film on Friday! So while our Top Five doesn’t really have the best title, mainly because I couldn’t come up with something better, but what I wanted to do today was talk about all my favourite things related to The Maze Runner. Whether it’s a character, a scene in the movies, or even a cast member, it counts.
Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Maze Runner Things!
Hello friends and happy Monday! I have yet another exciting week planned for us. If you remember a couple months back, to celebrate the release of The Becoming of Noah Shaw I created Mara Dyer Week where all my posts had some kind of theme related to that series. I’ve decided to do another theme week but this time it’s to celebrate a movie release! Finally, finally, the movie Maze Runner: The Death Cure is coming out this Friday, January 26, and I cannot wait to see it. It’s been a long time coming and since I’m so excited I thought, why not make this week Maze Runner Week? I hope you all enjoy this week and if you see the movie I hope you love it!
To kick off Maze Runner Week, our Moodboard Monday is obviously dedicated to The Maze Runner trilogy written by James Dashner. While I absolutely love the first book in the series, I’m a little iffy with the rest of the series. It’s not bad, it’s just I’m still not entirely sure what happens in the rest of the story and I still don’t understand the point of it all. I know something happened, but I don’t really know what that was exactly. Anyways, the first book is fantastic and I’m loving what Wes Ball has done with the film series thus far.
Hello friends and happy Friday! I hope everyone’s had a good week. I’m actually really tired right now so let’s hope I don’t fall asleep mid-post. The character I’ve selected today is another one of those characters that I’ve been holding off on doing because I never felt like it was the right time for them. But I really want to talk about them today and I’m also excited to do so. This character is probably my second favourite character in the series they appear in and they’re also a character that I immediately latched onto. There are a lot of things that makes this character fantastic, even though I think a lot of people don’t feel the same way I do, and I’m never gonna stop loving this character. I also really miss this character because it’s been almost two whole years since I got new content about them.
Today’s Moodboard Monday is dedicated to a book that I love with all my heart and fell completely head over heels in love with when I first read it over 2 and a half years ago, An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. Man, do I love this book. It is undoubtedly one of those underrated books that’s beyond special and I have been waiting in such anticipation for the next book. I can’t wait to get back into this world later this year.
In this lyrical, absorbing, award-winning novel, nothing is as it seems, and every clue leads to more questions.
At age eleven, Taylor Markham was abandoned by her mother. At fourteen, she ran away from boarding school, only to be tracked down and brought back by a mysterious stranger. Now seventeen, Taylor’s the reluctant leader of her school’s underground community, whose annual territory war with the Townies and visiting Cadets has just begun. This year, though, the Cadets are led by Jonah Griggs, and Taylor can’t avoid his intense gaze for long. To make matters worse, Hannah, the one adult Taylor trusts, has disappeared. But if Taylor can piece together the clues Hannah left behind, the truth she uncovers might not just settle her past, but also change her future.
